What You Need to Know

We hope you enjoyed browsing our site and reading about our event. Below you’ll find a collection of some of the most common questions we’ve been asked about this and other events. If you have additional questions that aren’t on the list, please contact us—we’re here to help.  If you can't see the question you need to ask on the below list, please email it into aprbhc24@gmail.com and we will do our best to respond with hopefully a helpful answer.

We will be capping this event at 168 archers

When is the last day I can register and pay?

The last day for registration will be 1st October 2024 or before if we reach maximum entries of 168, last date to pay for entry is 11th October if you are a NZFAA Archer.  International archers to pay NZD cash at the event at registration.

What is your refund policy?

No refunds, the fee must be paid prior to 11th October if you are an NZFAA Archer, this is essential in advance of event to secure your spot as the numbers will be capped at 168 archers.  International Archers will be paying NZD cash at registration so this does not apply.

What will the weather be like

The weather in October in Auckland will be between 11-20C, with a high chance of rain.  Pack your wet weather gear, and good boots

Is your event suitable for all ages?

Yes, but if bringing along a cub to this event, they will require a cub walker with them

What footwear should I bring?

Being as you will be shooting field, it is advisable to wear good boots that are comfortable and have good grip.  Massey Archery club is on a big property so expect a long walk around, Whitford Forrest is medium  to steep terrain in places, and can be muddy if there has been a lot of rain.  Franklin County Archers is set over a rock Quarry, it can be slippery with a few climbs and descents.

I am travelling from another country, where do I go to check my gear, and have a practice.

You are able to contact any clubs that are local to you on your arrival to organise a practice, please do not leave this until the last minute to do so.

Lakeview Archers has the most flexible hours during the week for a visit,

Franklin County Archers will be holding their Indoor session on the Thursday evening prior to the event,  

There will be no official practice day prior to this event.

Each host club will have a practice area on the day of the event.

How many archers can attend?

Where will prize Giving be held?

Prize giving will be held off site, later on the final day, this gives the team working through results time to get it right.  The prize giving and dinner will be held at Massey Hall, 58 Station Road, Franklin A and P Showgrounds, Pukekohe, approximately 15km from the last days archery venue.  

Can I smoke or Vape at any of the venues?

All venues are smoke and vape free, however, please check in at registration at each venue to see if there is a designated area.
